Happy Easter!

We had a big weekend - Not only was it Easter, but it was Mom's birthday.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures at the birthday party  ; - (

I was able to start washing windows and place a few outdoor decorations - SPRING FEVER has definitely set in!

Here is the veggie tray I brought for our Easter gathering - The bunny is made out of cauliflower - raisins for the eyes, a radish for the buck teeth, green peppers for the whiskers and red peppers for the inside of the ears.

I decided last minute to make these bunny boxes I saw on Pinterest....all the craft stores were out of white boxes, so I went to a Chinese restaurant and purchased boxes to make these cute treat holders.

I set one on each person's plate for  a cute decoration

along with the "traditional" bunny mum.  I've been buying these since Ryan was in grade school!

After dinner, we did a little photo shoot outside.  The weather was amazing and my mom asked that I get an update picture of her grandsons together.

Here they are....
Ryan 19 and Jacob 14

Ryan had to work all day and then drove right over to my parent's house for dinner.  After we got home, he opened his "Easter Bunny Gift"

The bunny brought some "expensive" headphones, drum sticks, candy, sleeping shorts, and candy.

Last week my printer started to act up.  I needed to purchase another one, but I had a TON of ink, so I needed to find a printer that uses the same type of ink.  Thankfully, I was able to find one at Sam's Club

I've been featured on the front page of TeachersPaysTeachers (TpT) a couple times! So exciting to visit the site and see your own picture front and center!

I was also asked if my product could be featured on an Australian teacher's blog!

As of today, only THIRTY-THREE more school days until I'm FREE once again!

Spring Break Projects and Purchases

Tomorrow we go back to school after having an entire week off for Spring Break!
This week has been full of projects and purchases! Going back to work/school may be a blessing in disguise!

The wallpaper border is down in the kitchen and I've decided not to replace it.
With the design on the valances, I feel it would be a little "too much"!

The flower swags above the kitchen cabinets add just enough color.

Shutterfly had a "free" 11 x 20 print promotion - so I took advantage and ordered TWO!
I found some frames that match our bedroom and hung them above our bed.

On a whim, I purchased new living room furniture.  (A double reclining sofa and a recliner chair)

We went from an IVORY leather couch and chair to a DARK BROWN - so all the decor had to be changed!  I'm finally getting used to the "darkness"!

Here's the finished room - new valances, throw rug, centerpiece and wall hanging. (Still need carpet - but the though of replacing it and moving everything is too overwhelming!)

I purchased this distressed drawer unit to house all my die cuts and then made rosettes to attach to each drawer so it appears it has knobs.

I couldn't find a wall decoration that I liked - so I created this out of scrapbook paper and my scoring board. I love how it turned out!

It matches the pillows on my couch perfectly!

The color scheme was built around the colors in these pillows
(a favorite of mine from Kirklands!)

I've always wanted this lamp

because of this shade!

It took me forever and trips to many stores - but I finally found  this centerpiece at Kirklands!

This is a close up shot of the valances

Because I was on a roll of making rosettes - I made a decoration to match the wrapping paper on my mom's birthday present.

I also went to the eye doctor and ordered some glasses!  They are mainly for focusing in the distance after working on something up close.  They should be in sometime this upcoming week!

~ 43 more school days left ~
