Life Lately

The summer is winding down (sad, sad, sad) only one more week off and then back to the hot, humid school!

Here's what has been happening lately!

We went to the Sox game the end of July.............and it rained.......HARD for over an hour.

Thankfully we were under some overhang that kept us dry!
We didn't stay the whole game - as it rained again and then they decided to finish the game the following day!

It's that time to start setting up classrooms.  My friend's room was moved - so it's like starting from scratch! It was almost 100 degrees and very HUMID so I can't imagine the temperature in the classroom as we took this big old mess and made it look like.....................

this!

I've been making classroom signs for teachers who have asked - new teachers and teachers switching grade levels.

I continue folding books - for Christmas presents!  Some for birthday gifts.  Here are my latest projects.

This book wasn't think enough to make a bird cage and instead of throwing it out I was able to frame it and hang it in my kitchen!

In my last post, I showed this project - however, I added dog tags with my friend's dog's name on them!

This vase is huge!  I wasn't sure what to do with it as it was so big - I created these big flowers from my We R Memory Keepers Flower Punch board and it turned out beautiful!

Then made some smaller vases for birthday gifts

This one was to match the classroom from above!

Then this cute doggie! He is so cute!

and this mouse with glasses!

For my mom, who LOVES tea, I made this teapot and teacup!

This is going to be a birthday gift for a reading teacher - It's a vase with pastel flowers!

Here are some of the name sculptures I've created (for Christmas Gifts)
