Unfortunately, the end is near

The end of summer break is closing in - we are hitting the last couple of days before having to return to school/work. BOO HOO!

I haven't updated in a while so it's time for a picture overload!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in an earlier post, but Bill was injured at work..... in May.  After many doctor's appointments, MRI, many X-rays, it was determined he needed SURGERY!

He choose to wait for surgery and then found out there wasn't an opening until July 18th IN MUNSTER INDIANA! (If he were to wait for the doctor to have an opening in a closer location the surgery wouldn't have been possible until August)................so off to Indiana we went

This is Bill coming out of anesthesia! HILARIOUS!
 Ready to go home
Not very pretty
Doctor's initials - to insure the correct knee was operated on
The end of July he was able to get his stitches out
He goes to physical therapy three times a week and is working hard to get strength back in his knee and leg. (He THOUGHT he would return to work in two or three weeks) - ha!!!! It's going on four weeks and he still can't kneel, tires easily and has pain when exerting himself.
One of my goals before summer was over, was to find a new car for Ryan. I found a great deal on this 20002 Chevy Malibu and he loves it.....or at least he loves the radio, sun roof and leather interior!

In June we celebrated Father's Day at my brother, David's house.
I found these galvanized metal boxes and letters and thought they were perfect!

These little chalkboard clips were perfect for my cheese/sausage/cracker tray.
When school let out - we took Ryan to the doctor to have a couple warts removed from his finger/wrist and one from his neck...........within a couple weeks the warts took over his neck!!!
SO GROSS!
The just keep coming back........... round 2
and again a few weeks later - ROUND THREE!
We are hoping his immune system will eventually realize it is not supposed to be producing these GROSS things!
THEN - I thought I was getting a wart, but turned out I needed a biopsy on a growth on my wrist.
Thankfully everything came back fine!!!!!!!!!!!! OUCH!
With Bill home for a good part of the summer - our plants have been doing pretty well - Sure will miss all the greenery and bright flowers in a month or so!

I've gotten a few more pairs of Skechers

even a pair of Skechers Sandals!
along with this purse that I love - accept the overlay gets caught on shopping carts and has been ripping - SO SAD

I've also been doing some Power Shopping at Kohl's

I don't feel I did many projects this summer (with all our health issues, doctor visits, etc....)
But here are a few of my accomplishments.....

More class signs

I re-screened the ENTIRE house. Some of the screens were becoming faded and warn

Here's a before .....
and after picture - it really did make a HUGE difference.
I did some tree/bush trimming on the pathway we walk......then Bill helped again the next day and we were able to take care of some low laying branches - now we have a nice clear walkway!
I hit a BIG milestone on TeachersPayTeachers - I sold 20000 items! I am super close to hitting an official TpT milestone as a 75,000.00 seller! - Who would have ever thought this was possible!!!!!!

I've started helping my friends fix up their classrooms - one is changing grade levels and rooms so we have to start from scratch!
Here's the alphabet and number display I created.
Click to enlarge to see this picture - it's her word wall - 153 words on display

The whole room is designed around the note holder! ha! It's turning out nice and not the bright, colorful colors like many of the primary rooms have - it's a great change! (See my 1T sign???)
We just ordered carpeting for our entire house! YIKES!!!!!!
Within a week or two I hope to be posting pictures of the rooms - it's going to be A LOT of work moving everything - but it will be worth it in the long run!  I have chosen Medal of Honor - a beige.  Currently we have Dolphin Gray so it will be a big change.
Lastly, I was finally able to talk Ryan into taking some pictures for our Christmas cards - phew
Usually by now I have the cards ordered and waiting to be addressed!
Cantigny is soooo beautiful - you could walk around for hours looking at all the beautiful greenery and flowers (and army tanks too!)

Thanks for stopping by!
